How do I get rid of Moles?

Mole control - quick and easy.

What we do to get rid of moles.

We apply a mole repellent granule to all areas of your yard: flower beds and lawn.  The granule is designed to soak down into the ground with rain or regular watering, making the ground, the food in the ground that attracted the mole, and the mole itself taste and smell bad to the mole. Making your yard highly repellent.

These mole control granules contain camphor and have been in use for over 15 years, providing excellent mole control, with no reported cases of any problems with pets or children. Link to MSDS.

Why we use granules for mole control.
Granules are a safer way to get rid of moles than traps around children and pets. Mole control granules can get rid of moles for 2 to 3 months at a time.

What we don't do to get rid of moles.

We don't use traps to get rid of moles. Traps provide very poor mole control. Each trap only catches one mole at a time, and it does nothing to make your yard any less attractive to other moles. In fact, trapping makes your home really attractive to other moles - all those tunnels already dug and no one using them.

We also do not apply mole control granules to gardens or sand boxes. (You don't want your fresh veggies tastsing like camphor : )

What we charge for mole control.

Applying moles control granules can be more expensive than a single trapping visit, we have to pay for the granules and the time spent putting them on your lawn, however, it can be much less expensive than a trapping program since you only have to do it once or twice a year.

Small and Medium sized yards:

Mole control for lawn of about 2000 square feet can be done for as little as $99.00. We recommend two treatments about a month apart for the very best results.

2000 square feet is about 40 X 50. Every additional 1000 square feet costs about $20.00 more.

Large Yards:

Mole control for large and really large yards can be done a couple of different ways.  We can granule large swaths around and over active areas and make barriers that work to repel them from the rest of the the yard for often not much more than a full coverage noted above, or at your request, we can provide the full treatment as noted above.

More info on getting rid of moles:

Background mole control info.

Moles are solitary animals that live alone and only come together to mate.  They make tunnels systems for catching worms, larvae, and other grubs in the soil. As they eliminate the food sources in one area the expand their tunnels into new areas - such as under your yard. They need to keep expanding their tunnel systems to find enough food to eat.

Trapping Moles - an endless cycle.

If all you do to get rid of moles is set out traps - some other nearby mole will often move right into the existing tunnels and continue to enlarge them. Trapping does nothing to discourage future moles. It is often necessary to keep trapping moles once you start.

Humane mole control.

Traps will rid moles from your yard, temporarily, but traps are inhumane.  You also run the risk of injury to a non target animal, including household pets and small children, depending on the type of traps used.  Because they do not discourage moles, you will have this possibility present every time you trap. Many people find the need to trap 4 to 6 times a year once moles move into your area or start making tunnels near your home.

Mole control granules allow humane mole control - they do not kill moles, insects, or non-target animals or children.  They contain camphor, which moles find distasteful and not the poisonous baits that some companies use.
