1. We put out rat control materials in all areas of activity to to quickly and safely get rid of your rats. However, the most valuable service we provide is:

During our initial visit we also perform a thorough whole home inspection to determine how to make your home less attractive to rats and how to make your home rat proof. We explain the results of that inspection to you and give you an estimate of what it would take to professionally rodent proof your home.

2. Within two weeks, upon acceptance of our estimate, we return to rodent proof your home, or inspect your rodent proofing efforts, and perform a rodent follow-up service to remove any dead rodents and ensure that our control efforts are working.

3. In approximately two additional weeks, if the home has been completely rodent proofed, we perform a final inspection and remove our control materials.

Most homes should be free of rats at this point.

Rat Control - The Details

How much does rat control cost?

The initial service where we put out the rat control materials and perform the whole home inspection typically runs $175.00 to $195.00 for the average home of 2500 square feet or less with one fairly easy to crawl sub area under the home and one fairly easy to crawl roof void above the home.

Follow-up services typically run $75-95.00 for the same home described above.

We wouldn't know what it would cost or take to rodent proof your home prior to our whole home inspection. Every home is different.

Do we provide free competing bids?

Exclusion is so vital that we may not be able to rid your home of rats without it - and rats will always re-infest if it is not done.

Some homes only need to have a vent mended or a small hole plugged, and these things can be done relatively inexpensively. Sometimes rat exclusion is more involved and expensive.

If you have received an involved and expensive exclusion bid from another company, we would be happy to give you a competing bid. To do so, you must provide us with a copy of their bid. Otherwise, we will have to perform a whole home inspection and charge you for the inspection.

We do provide the clean-up services most homes need and would be happy to give you an estimate for these services as well.

However, we don't push crawlspace clean-ups like many other companies seem to these days.

Some companies are really pushing clean-ups and charge thousands of dollars to come in a replace your all your insulation. We feel that is rarely necessary. We are seeing customers who have paid $3000.00 to $5000.00 several times and still have rodents.

We pride ourselves on doing really good rodent proofing work, but homes change over time, vents get broken, access doors get left open, trees and other vegetation grow and provide future access.

A lot of companies are using misleading health scare tactics to convince people to spend thousands and we don't feel it is always necessary or ethical.
