Yellow Jackets are small compact wasps that are commonly mistaken for bees. 99% of our calls to get rid of bees are actually calls for us to get rid of Yellow Jackets.

Yellow Jackets nest in the following areas:  In walls, in attics, in sub area crawlspaces, in the ground, in trees, and under eaves.

Our Yellow Jacket control treatment will get rid of your Yellow Jackets wherever they nest.

Getting rid of Yellow Jackets -

exposed nests.

Cautions: all over the counter sprays for Yellow Jackets are highly repellent - that is they make the wasps very agitated. This increases your chances of being stung.  If you perform your own Yellow Jacket control - only do so at night and do not shine a light on the Yellow Jacket nest - they will follow back on the light beam and attack you.

Also note that all cans of 'wasp freeze' or 'wasp jet', etc... contain petroleum distillates - which means that they will permanently stain siding and other surfaces, they will kill plants, and they will absorb immediately into your exposed skin, or heaven forbid, your eyes.  Always wear full face and eye protection.

We spray Yellow Jacket nests will no odor, no fume, non-repellent water based sprays that don't stain and don't agitate the wasps.

Yellow Jacket nest removal.

Yellow Jacket nest removal should take place at least a few days after our treatment to give time for our control materials to kill any foraging Yellow Jackets that were not present when the nest was sprayed - just removing Yellow Jacket nests will confuse and agitate returning wasps and they will live for days with nothing but stinging you on their minds.

Getting rid of Yellow Jackets-

Ground Nests

     BaldFaced Hornet

Bald faced Hornets are a type of wasp closely related to Yellow Jackets.

These nests are often found accidently when you are gardening, or when children are playing, There is nothing worse than the screams of little one who have accidently stepped into a ground nest.

We can usually get rid of these nests in one easy treatment. Since everyone who performs yellow jacket control for our company is equipped with a special protection suit - we can take care of these nests without getting stung.

Yellow Jacket control -

nests that are hidden.

     Paper Wasp Nest

Paper wasps are longer than Yellow Jackets and their nests always show the exposed 'honeycomb' type brood chambers. There will usually be a bunch of these small nests around a home.

Some species of Yellow Jackets prefer to nest in places that are more protected from their predators.  These species will nest in your roof, in your walls, or in the ground.

We get a large number of Yellow Jacket control calls every year from people who see Yellow Jacket activity, But can't see the nest.  Our Yellow Jacket control service involves a special Yellow Jacket control material applied to the area where the wasps enter and exit.

This material is tracked back into the Yellow Jacket nest and Yellow Jacket extermination occurs within a matter of hours or at the most a few days.

This is the effective and safe way to get rid of hidden Yellow Jacket nests.  We do not recommend that homeowners try to get rid of wasps when they cannot see the actual nest.

Every year we get dozens of calls from people who performed their own Yellow Jacket treatment with repellent 'over the counter sprays' that drove the Yellow Jackets to find other ways out - often resulting in Yellow Jackets forcing their way through the walls or ceiling into their homes.  Ouch!

Getting rid of Yellow Jackets and maintaining Yellow Jacket control.

We offer a quarterly control service where we spray eaves, overhangs, vents, and other areas to cut down on spiders - Yellow Jackets favorite food and to prevent Yellow Jackets from starting nests in these areas.

We typically remove small Yellow Jacket nests and the nests of other wasps nests when they are small and newly forming during our regular services.  Yellow Jacket removal is much easier when they are small - before they get huge and out of hand.

We would be happy to treat your entire home for wasp and Yellow Jacket prevention, in addition to any live nests you have now.  We have hundreds of satisfied customers on spider and yellow jacket control programs.
